I'm sure we have all heard about the importance of team work, of being a team player, and the importance of having a team of good people to support you in life. And there are many acronyms for "team" – my favourite one is "Together Everyone Achieves More".

My experience has been that a good & supportive team is essential in every facet of life.....having a supportive & nurturing family is a form of team, good friends who help you grow is a form of team, prospering in business requires team work, attaining financial freedom always involves a team of people (including partners, consultants and advisors), attaining optimal health requires a team of professionals including a doctor, chiropractor, masseur, and personal trainer. Success in any area in life ultimately comes from having a team approach.

You alone can do it but you cannot do it alone is a great wisdom.

You, me, all of us, always do better when we have the right team around us to support, encourage and brainstorm better ways. I remember once having a very sore rib after coming back from an overseas trip. I had pulled a muscle and I was sore for many months (in fact, close to a year). It was only by developing and consulting a team of people that I finally was healed of this constant and irritating pain.

My doctor passed me onto the physiotherapist. From there I went to my chiropractor. Eventually I finished with my acupuncturist. My doctor helped take the discomfort levels down from 80% to 60%, the physiotherapist took it from 60% to 25%, My chiropractor took it from 25% to 5%. And the final 5% was gone after seeing my acupuncturist. For me, the acupuncturist was just as important as all the others because it was after the acupuncture that all the paid was finally gone....healed!

To create something amazing in life, you need to develop a team.

Whether it is a successful business, winning in a sport game (tennis, soccer, basketball), or setting up a growing charity that impacts people (such as Mother Theresa), we all need how to put together a team, how to motivate them, and how to keep them working together to create a great result. We have all got various levels of skills to develop a team but we can all do with learning from others who have done it successfully. We can all improve our leadership skills, our team building skills, and create better results in every area of our life.

This is why I am excited to introduce to you at our next Breakfast at the Next Level on Wednesday 2nd May Mr. Neil Kerley. Neil broke records in his time as a SANFL football coach – you may not know him today (he is semi retired at 79 years of age) but in his hey day he was an SA hero! I encourage you to come along, and bring your friends as you will be inspired learning the secrets of creating a great team and becoming an outstanding successful leader in whatever it is you desire to do.

When we do things together, we inspire one another, we help one another, and we ensure that we plug one another's weaknesses.

Nobody has all the skills for success. A good team compliments one another and creates a skill & knowledge compounding effect. Once a year we run the Christmas Baskets Program whereby we deliver Xmas hampers to needy families and provide them with much needed inspiration. We could never do it without the 100+ volunteers that assist us in the program. You see, with a team, we can all achieve more.

If you want to succeed with anything in life, surround yourself with people who are doing well in that area and you will naturally gravitate to their level. 93% of all communication is unconscious (only 7% is via words) so just by being amongst amazing people, you will begin to become like them. I encourage you to attend seminars and live events, to join networks of people committed to learning, growing and giving, and you will then also rise in your personal and professional development.

I sincerely hope to see you soon at one of our SOL Results events such as our breakfast event and encourage you to become part of a community of people committed to personal and professional improvement.

Live with passion, purpose and always be at peace.
